September in Prague is characterized by the return of the school days, locals are back from their country cottages and school trips flood the city with energized young tourists. The successful protection against COVID-19, means a safe environment to enjoy the outdoors and main attractions of the city.
Prague trees are starting to change to a yellowish colour, and locals and tourists are still enjoying the outdoors. Bars, beer gardens and restaurants are all very popular at any time of the day.
The morning is cool and fresh normally followed by a sunny and warm afternoon. Evenings can have a cold breeze. Dressing shorts for the day, jeans and a windbreaker for the evening would cover most of the situations September holds. Ah, have an umbrella in hands, just in case. Autumn in Prague may reserve some surprises.

WINE FESTIVALS
September is well-known and celebrated in Czech for the wine harvest season. From small villages like Karlstejn to the Prague Castle, wine festivals are pumping bringing the traditional Czech wines and the young wine, or Burčák, which is an almost soft drink version of a wine, but don’t get it wrong, still pretty alcoholic.

DVOŘAK PRAGUE FESTIVAL
The traditional International Music Festival is back once again bringing international and Czech artists to celebrate Dvořak and Czech culture.
This year's event will be held over 16 days, with 19 concerts featuring Dvořak, Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Bach and others.
When: 4th – 20th of September
Where: Prague National Theatre.
BURGERFEST
Burgerfest is a unique two-day food and cultural festival.
In this time a burger is considered to be a symbol of haste and also quite often of not very good quality. The festival aims to disprove the myths of American cuisine, culture and show that a burger is not a burnt poor quality piece of meat, but an art that deserves its festival!

PRAGUE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (Febiofest 2020)
A variety of international films, documentaries, and high-profile holdovers. The festival has hosted a number of famous actors and directors in the previous years.
